Hey everyone, I'm back from a long break but I have decided that I should be involved with my blog more often. This piece I bring to you today is one that comes straight for the heart. it isn't a poem but a thought to ponder on.
As the days go by, I watch many people pass me by everywhere, in the schools, at my work, and at any place of recreation that I go to. Everyone looks so happy and upbeat with everything that's been going on in the world despite all these natural disasters and tragedies happening. I ask myself, why should everyone be so cheery when there are people starving in Haiti because their sense of home was destroyed. I feel those people's pain that they have to go through everyday. To me it's just another day that goes by. Recently in my life, there have been so many high points and low points in the last couple of months. I just need to find some way to not think of my last couple months of high schools as just days going by. All that is keeping me positive is how I will be a college student in the fall and start a new chapter in my life.
I like this piece, for a multitude of reasons. One, it shows that even though everyone might think these things, not everyone is courageous enough to share them publicly. I agree; sometimes people just push other matters aside and act like nothing happened. It takes a special something to outwardly show your support for the people that are hurt in the world, like Haiti. Everyone makes life out to be a utopia, and while those of us in the US have a great life style and living condition, the rest of the world mostly does not.

Alright. Thanks. I also believe that too many people act as if an earthquake or natural disaster isn't a big deal. It is definitely a big deal to everyone in the world. People ignoring such things also show that we live in a fast-paced society. I've been trying to spread the word to slow down and savor everyday you have on this planet.
ReplyDeleteI care about the world as well. I have a heart of gold because that's the kind of person I am. If you need a shirt I will give you the shirt off my back. Need a home stay with me and I'll get you back on your feet. It's sad that no one cares about those kinds of things as much as they should. I understand this because everyday of my life I've had to prove everyone wrong and please other people. Now I know that the only person I have to prove wrong is myself, and live my life the way I want to live it so I can be a better person everyday, which is what everyone should strive for.
ReplyDeleteP.S. to the great-loving the playlist man especially the Kenny G Moonlight makes me feel like I'm in a lounge and I can just relax good job man and I'm sorry for all the things I've done and I apologize for past, present, and future things that have happened, are happening, and will happen. Let's put all the bad stuff behind us and be best friends just like how it used to be. What do you say?
